I have a Magnifi Mini soundbar and subwoofer attached to a four year old Samsung smart TV via HDMI to the ARC socket on the back of the TV.
The green light on the subwoofer is solid, indicating that the subwoofer and soundbar are connected.
There is no sound coming through the soundbar when I try to watch digital/terrestrial TV, though there is when I watch Netflix (but not YouTube). When I press the Home button on the remote, I also hear the tones as I switch between options (YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ etc)
Selecting Settings on the Samsung remote shows that the sound output is ‘Receiver (HDMI)’.
Please can you advise? The soundbar was perfectly fine when we switched the TV off on Wednesday evening, but when switched on again on Thursday lunchtime it has not worked via HDMI. No changes have been made to the soundbar.

I just started experiencing the same problem with my Samsung tv and soundbar and this fixed it.
settings-sound-expert settings-output mode-pcm
