Au9000 and Sonos beam gen 2

Hi all , quick question I hope you can help me with , I have my beam gen 2 and TV ( au9000 Samsung ) connected via arc , been working fine for ages , last night whilst watching TV I thought I'd turn on eARC in TV settings , carried on being ok , this morning when I turned the TV on there was sound from the beam ( as usual ) ... turned tv off for a while and when i put it back on there was no sound from the beam (only tv speakers) its done this randomly in the past , turned off eARC and sound came out of the beam , I only have sky+ hd and I know eARC is not needed for that but just curious as to why this might happen, thanks
