TV: UE55 NU7500
I'm not sure whether this is a general Samsung issue or just to do with my TV, but the amount of space allocated to the Smart Hub apps seems to be seriously lacking.
As this is a new TV I thought I'd explore some of the available apps, but when I went into the Apps area I got a message saying that there was insufficient space to update apps. This was before I had downloaded anything, so it would purely apply to the pre-installed apps.
I checked settings and the used space was 751MB with 64MB available, i.e. 7%. This seems absurd as these apps can't be deleted and are built into the system. The available space doesn't even allow them to be updated. I then tried resetting Smart Hub. This has helped to an extent as the available space is now 13%. However, it's still far too low and whenever I try and download a new app I get a warning about available space.
I can't believe that the pre-installed apps are taking around 700MB of space, and it seems crazy that Samsung would design the system this way. Presumably I will have to install an SD card to provide more space for the apps?
Any tips welcome as this is my first Samsung TV.

Can someone confirm how much storage is left on a 2019 model of 7402 TV? When you buy without any user app install. Just the default pre-install apps. As far as I remember when I first talked with Samsung she told me that the TV comes with 4GB internal storage and that storage is used for the firmware (Tizen OS) as well pre-installed apps. And all together must be like 3-3.2GB so around 800MB are left for user. I am not 100% sure if thats what she said but I am 100% sure she said the TV comes with a 4GB internal storage, because when I hear it I told her that cheap mobile phones of 100EUR come with 32GB and 64GB storage and a 600EUR TV comes only with 4GB?
EDIT: Also I'am 100% sure she said something like "you must have 700-800MB space left, not 130MB".

Georgek1.
This morning Samsung told me to do Hub-reset afterwards with only the forced Apps installed it showed !0% available. with App updates turned off. I explained that with a Software update that would be used up, he said that shouldn't happen, if it does contact us again. Checked Apps again now Used 744.16MB available 72.02MB 8% available.
This means Total available only 816.18 if only forced Apps downloaded this must prove not enought storage.

just finish a long talk with samsung, short story, samsung tell me there is no info or stand requirte about how much memory for smart TV, so if my TV got 800MB and other got 4GB, it must be the design.
So that why i focus into that "design", i tell them, if the "design" of NU7 is 800MB and other serie TV is 4GB, then why no one tell me about it when I buy the TV or at least put that details into the TV box??? the samsung guys can't answer my question, then in the end, I tell them, by law, if you hide or fail to mention some certainly information before the deal make, the buyer can request a full refund.
well, ofc samsung not give me the refund, but samsung tell me they will call me again tomorrow (i think he need gather more infomation).

You've been lied to.
If you Google "Samsung Smart Hub Uninstall App" and look at video results. Near the top of the search an official Samsung video shows a TV with 1.12GB used, 3.31GB free. Only basic apps are installed. My TV has 774MB used 42MB free. My Samsung TV has less storage than the used storage of another Samsung TV. Both with base apps installed. Both running Tizen.

Those are different sets to the NU7xxx range.
The top video is a curved set. Probably an MUxxxx series.
The bottom video link is to an JUxxxx series. Notice the TV stand
NU7xxx is, for some God forsaken reason, the only range to have the appalling amount of storage

Guys, this is how you fix this issue because I've done it.
Factory reset the TV (so you gain lots of free space) and add all the apps you want at start up. If you're in the UK you will have to add NowTV afterwards by going to apps. After this all my apps are installed and they remain so. If I try and add a new app now, no doubt it won't let me but as I already have Netflx, NowTV, Apple, Amazon etc... I don't need to add anything else.
If it doesn't work consider buying an AppleTv box or Firestick, as everything is on there. Not sure about NowTv but the rest are.

That's exactly it. For some inexplicable reason, the 2018 NU7000 range ended up with 1GB total storage to accommodate the operating system and apps, whereas all other ranges had at least 4GB and more commonly 5GB. What the hell happened?

This isn't a solution. Do you work for Samsung? This is the response that they give night and day, avoiding the issue totally.
