TV: UE55 NU7500
I'm not sure whether this is a general Samsung issue or just to do with my TV, but the amount of space allocated to the Smart Hub apps seems to be seriously lacking.
As this is a new TV I thought I'd explore some of the available apps, but when I went into the Apps area I got a message saying that there was insufficient space to update apps. This was before I had downloaded anything, so it would purely apply to the pre-installed apps.
I checked settings and the used space was 751MB with 64MB available, i.e. 7%. This seems absurd as these apps can't be deleted and are built into the system. The available space doesn't even allow them to be updated. I then tried resetting Smart Hub. This has helped to an extent as the available space is now 13%. However, it's still far too low and whenever I try and download a new app I get a warning about available space.
I can't believe that the pre-installed apps are taking around 700MB of space, and it seems crazy that Samsung would design the system this way. Presumably I will have to install an SD card to provide more space for the apps?
Any tips welcome as this is my first Samsung TV.

Hi,
After you uninstall the e.manual, do you still have the pop up noticing you that a Smart Hub update is available?
I removed all useless apps (Apple, Prime etc) so I can have enough space, but apparently there is no update available any more.
Yes, it doesnt affect the main updates. Those updates are only pushed once in a blue moon. App updates are much more frequent.
Removing all the stock apps is pointless they will all get reinstalled automatically when you restart the TV, except for the e-manual if you deleted that too.

I bought an UE43NU7400 in October 2018. Didn't use Apps that much, but today wanted to install some - but when I went to install I also ran into the issue that there is no more free space. Ridiculous! The TV is pretty new, and I didn't install anything myself - it's just full with pre-installed stuff, and non-removable stuff. So bad! My firmware at the moment is 1294.1.

Hello to all.
Guess I'm another voice to add to this.
Googled the problem found this site and shocked to read how long this has been known for.
Living in Greece bought NU7093 55” model just twelve months ago. Just checked firmware 1292
Yes I was aware it was a 2018 model but had no idea of the problems this would create.
Opened the TV apps setting yesterday to delete yet another App that had been added by Samsung which I now find is impossible and got the message internal storage full.
I think only one of the Apps has been added by me all the others money makers for Samsung.
Having now read posts here from well before I bought the TV it is obvious Samsung knew of this fault before my purchase and still kept selling them.
If people in the UK are getting no joy from the supplier here in Greece we have no chance as customer service is well behind the UK. It may be European law etc. but it is next to impossible to enforce here..
Looks like the only chance is if Samsung forced to do recall, after all the bad publicity on this forum and still nothing done i am not holding my breath.

Guys just go into developer mode, in apps, enter 1,2,3,4,5 from the main remote, switch DEV mode on at the top, restart TV, go back into apps, goto the e-manual, select deep link test at the bottom, cancel the next screen, scroll up, then you can delete the e-manual. If delete is greyed out, then a smarthub reset is required beforehand. (Note: all your apps and settings/logins etc will be reset), then repeat the process and delete will become available.
... Any idea why I can't get this to work.

When it says go back into apps, it should actually be go back into apps from the TV main menu, then go to settings, then scroll to the emanual.

Doesn't work in what way? As I mentioned, I had to reset the smarthub beforehand, before the delete option was available. Be aware this resets all your account settings/options though.

I can go into developer mode. I can reset the hub so that it asks for you to agree to the terms again. I can cancel the deep button at the bottom. Delete is still greyed out.

In Developer mode I couldn't delete the Manual. I didn't reset the Smat Hub - don't want to set-up all the stuff again.
This is clearly something that Samsung should fix. I.e. just make it so you can at least delete *all* apps, including the manual and apps that Samsung pushes to you. That way at least you have a way around the problem.
