I have 3 Samsung TVs (QE65Q95TATXXH, 2 x UE50CU8572UXXH) and all of them have the same issue. When I am disconnecting a source the HDMI is deleted from the home menu and every time I have to add it again.
Since I am switching devices very often this is very frustrating. I would like to have the HDMI 1 and 2 permanently added to home menu no matter if they have something connected or not.
How I will do this?

Had a Samsung Smart TV for a few years now, and honestly, it's such a love / hate relationship. Mostly hate. I miss my 15 year old LG TV.
Having YouTube at my fingertips is excellent. The picture is nice as well. Colors are great.
This source issue though? Aggravating. I own a lot of game consoles, so, I'd like to have a saved HDMI as CONSOLE, with game mode saved to it. Every time I change the console I have to go into the SLOW, AWFUL menus on this TV, and painstakingly go into general, external device manager, and turn game mode on. It's driving me insane. A simple "save HDMI" would have been perfect. Let me remove it when I need to. Really tired of companies throwing in automatic stuff like that. LET. ME. PICK. I paid $500 for my TV, and it'll be my last Samsung, for sure. Never again will I deal with this.
To get rid of the auto detecting nonsense they implemented, I had to put in some random combo of buttons on my remote I got from a YouTube Video. It worked. But why do I have to do that??? Just let me change it! This TV has horrible software and next to no options. Everything is so forced. Disabling ads on the home screen was also another thing I had to go do. If it wasn't so expensive to replace, I would.
