Have they started shipping the one connect boxes over yet from 2.0 to HDMI 2.1 ?

Cant get anything from the Indian call centre staff not one of them understands what I am asking them.

Absolutley useless for a new customer asking any questions as they do not know the products.

He kept saying on phone 60 frame per minute, then he said running in 60p -- shows you how ill informed they or on products, rang 5 different times and not one can answer my question.

does anyone who owns one of the Q900R 8Ktvs could give me an insight into them, has there been any problems, good and bad points?

be as honest as you can.

Also has anyone had the chance to see a 4k tv and an 8tv side by side and if so is the comparison noticable.?

Ok. What model number do you have on your OCB? Did you have it switched, like mine? 😊

Does it not happen automatically and what upgrades/issues have been fixed in this new software update ? By the way, nothing comes up when I try to update manually. My software version is 1294.

I take new update 1300.4 version for Q900R TV via USB stick and there is no eARC or AV1 kodek for 8K videos from YouTube,it is only new Term of use... I was hope to be just eARC in this new 1003.4 update, but there is no (e) and there is no (ARC) !!!😑

You will not be able to get the eARC or AV1 codec in a future software update. This can only be fixed with a physical hardware update.

Maybe it might be solved with an external device or that Samsung offers a 2nd. One Connect Box replacement.

Hi,

I have spent 5 hours speaking to multiple advisors to find this out and I really think they don’t know themselves.

Some advisors who call themselves “Experts” and “Engineers” contradict each other.

I can’t find any info on the manual. Some advisors say all 4 ports are HDMI 2.1 and E-Arc, others say none are HDMI 2.1 and only arc.

Some say HDMI Port 1 or 4 is HDMI 2.1 and the rest are 2.0. Others say all 4 ports are HDMI 2.0b and Port 3 is Arc but it actually has all the features of HDMI 2.1 and e-Arc but because of licensing, they could not advertise them as 2.1 and e-Arc.

Reports say a software update is on it’s way for e-arc and others say this cannot be done.

Now as a customer, what should I believe? How Samsung cannot definitively say the truth, I can’t believe.

Furthermore, that a flagship 8K costing thousands of pounds doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 and E-Arc is shocking!

After 3 hours, the webchat agent says a specialist will call me tomorrow and explain this to me, but I have no confidence in Samsung anymore.

If this is the case no HdMI 2.1 and no E-Arc, Samsung should upgrade via update if possible or send all 950R 8K users an upgraded box with these features in for spending thousands of pounds on the flagship.

If enough of us complain, anyone feel they will listen and give us HDMI and e-ARC for Q950R?
