I just found out that the one connect box on my brand new high end tv only connects with 100mbit ethernet?

I found out when trying to use Steam link on the TV, just to experience a stuttering and unplayable game. Did a little research and found out that the available bandwidth was maxed out. On 100mbit.

Please tell my one connect box is broken.

I didn't even know it was possible to buy 100mbit equipment anymore.

At least not i a $5500 high end TV

Root Cause of YouTube TV issues is the Samsung app that came with TV. App has been reinstalled (all you can do) many times. Still had screen go blank for several seconds, freeze up with spinning arrow frequently when fast forward or reverse and other issues. Switched to using Apple TV box to run YouTube TV app and all issues resolved.

I am deeply disappointed with samsung although I am their fan. my tv since 2017 has 1Gb ethernet and dts support, instead the 2021 model has only 100Mb ethernet and support for dts audio and has been removed.

Your alternative is keep using your Samsung but as a video device only. I have a big Samsung 4K but I have a big Onkyo plus a Oppo 4k video player, both has all the sound options possible, I love DTS HD Master 7.1 THX. Play a video ( I have a Hard Drive on a dock-USB) connected to the Oppo and the Onkyo. Both are connected to the Samsung. I get a good video plus really great sound which any TV cant compete. You can stream video through the oppo or Denon or high end blu ray player. Inalso heard of a USB converter that is 1 GB/s Internet that can connect to Samsung. Yes, I know, you expect to buy a tv and thats all. The work around is expensive.

answer to this is believe it or not go wifi many new wifi routers will send over  1k gig mine is 1.8k it gives using it as a point of contact router with connected to my Providers router (Fios) which gave me 80gps Enet connection. I connected the 1.8k new router as a point of contact Router and connected my  TV via wiFi to the new router now im getting 280gps to my TV even the TV streaming is clearer.

Your measurements are using the wrong nomenclature, Gps/Gbps, you should mean Mbps. Fios doesn't go above 1Gbps anyway unless you are paying a business rate. My iPad pro can get 500 Mbps on my wifi when my Internet connection is 1Gbps from the Telco. My home-built computer can get 950 Mbps from the Internet due to hardware limitations of 1 Gbps NIC. Samsung getting 280 Mbps on the Wifi is pitiful but if you are happy, good. Its hardware limitation is probably 300 Mbps. You would think the Samsung NIC would be more speedier than the Wifi but they are cutting corners. So, if you stream 4K, dolby/DTS 5.1 sound, 280 Mbps is fast enough? Hope you don't stream 8K someday.

Update 1/9/2022 - I also had issues with a Amazon Fire an older Samsung Smart TV. Frequent freeze ups required restart of Fire Stick. Upgraded to an Apple 4K and replaced the Fire Stick with my Apple TV HD. Much better performance and no freeze ups.

I’m guessing there USB is 2.0 and hence limited to a maximum of 480Mbps so no use there. I doubt the tv OS even contains the drivers to make the USB Ethernet adapter work (drivers for HDD’s will work but not for much else) so I doubt this will work as a workaround. Only thing that’ll work is sticking with 1Gbps wifi - a pity because it’s nowhere near as reliable as a cabled connection.

When do you think Samsung will get smart and start to engineer their tv’s that can stream 4k with an RJ45 connection; more secure and a lot faster than stupid wifi.

Also, when will they stop using Free OS and go back to their own Operating system for security and safe from hackers?
