Can anyone help?
Suddenly the TV has started to buffer when streaming films or sports.
The wireless signal is strong next to the TV (100mbps)
The TV is connected to 2.4 ghz rather than 5ghz
The firmware is up to date .... the downloadable one on the website is an earlier one than the one on the TV

any suggestions would be great ..... thank you

First thing to try is rebooting your router.

@RR65  Has  your router been  disconnected at mains,  if rebooted via another method  I would try that.   When you say Tv has been rebooted have you actually tried a factory reset in addition to switching off at mains.  Tv should be unplugged for at least a minute.

Another idea is to change the DNS settings.   Go to  Network-Network Settings-DNS Settings.   Change from Automatic to   to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. (the Google servers) alternatively Open DNS   208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220
