Hi. The infrared sensor on my Samsung TV 40MU6100 isn't cooperating just now and I wonder if anyone has a fix for it.

I am finding it doesn't want to pick up any of my remote controls like normal, only intermittently working and sometimes not at all until I power cycle my TV (where it fixes itself for a few minutes then repeat). I know it isn't the remote controls as I have 3 different ones and none work as they should, and also the controls on the TV itself always work without fail.

What I find, is when I finally manage to switch the TV to standby, the infrared sensor on TV will keep flashing like something is trying to use it.  Hopefully this last part can give someone a clue as to what the problem is.

I haven't restored the TV to factory settings yet.

Thanks

@Kiriakov: Have you tried replacing the batteries in your remote to see if this helps? If you hold the remote a few inches from power light on the TV, are you able to control it successfully?
