Hi,

I apologise if this is already covered elsewhere.

I have bought the above model in prep for next-gen gaming, wanting a 4k120 experience and expecting this TV to support this.

It is still extremely unclear to me via online search whether this 49 inch tv supports HDMI 2.1 120hz on HDMI 4. Some pages say it does and others seem to imply the 49 inch version does not.

I called Samsung UK and they reported that HDMI 4 is 2.1 and supports a 120hz refresh rate but I would like clarity on this from the community if posdible as I would likely return the TV if it doesn't support 4k120.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Brad

I'm also interested in confirming this. 55" is too big for me and was looking at the 49" but from what I had understood the HDMI ports in the 49" model are all 2.0.

HDMI inputs: 3 x HDMI 2.0, 1 x HDMI 2.1 (49in only has HDMI 2.0)

Can it be confirmed that port 4 in 49" is HDMI 2.1?

Thanks

Hi Brad I’m also still awaiting a solid clarification also.

I may have to seek a complaint with Samsung if this goes on any longer.

Bought this tv for one purpose. 2.1 120hz. If it’s not it’s garbage to me.

every review and site before I bought this tv on November 10th said ALL!!!!!! 2020 Q80T Samsung TVs have been confirmed as being hdmi 2.1 on port 4.

I now check every site and now they alll saying ah no the 55” plus only has the hdmi 2.1.

thanks to every source misselling me a product if this is true.
