I am connecting four devices through a HDMI switch into the one connect box through HDMI 2. The switch is doing the job I bought it for. My problem is when I switch on the device I want to use it plays on the tv but the device won't show up in the menu as it would do if plugged in straight to the HDMI port on its own. I have a Sky q box plugged into HDMI 1 on its own and this comes up in the menu and I can use the smart remote for it. Is using the switch confusing the tv or am I doing something wrong? I thought I was very knowledgable with new tech but this is stumping me! Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.
