2019 82" QLED firmware 1401 update now has surround sound issues HELP!

Since my QE82Q70RAT received 1401 update a few days ago my Samsung HT-BD 1255 no longer works with the TV, I select receiver in sound settings but it switches back to TV speakers as i come out of the menu. Is this a bug? Has worked fine until this update, very disappointed that firmware gets released without fully testing.

What can i do to resolve this?

The only way, at the moment, for fixing firmware 1401 DAMAGES is trying to install firmware 1409. It’s a beta firmware but it solved all the problems on my SAMSUNG 65 RU8000 2019.

Even after getting the 1409 installed my audio stops working every now and then and I have to "soft reboot" it to get it back.

Same, 1409 doesn't fix things on my QE55Q90R. Still lose audio and need to reset via holding power button and I have to turn off "Input signal plus" on all inputs, which means getting degraded quality!

I have the same problem with Samsung the Frame 2019 (QE65KLS03R). I updated to 1409 but the problem remains.

I have gone through several Samung forums and there are several customers who are experiencing the same problem that we indicate here for 2019 QLED TVs. Samsung, what do you do? Do you want us to consider another brand in the future?

I did switch to another brand...used an extended warranty claim with retailer to get most of what I paid for my QE55Q90R refunded and got myself a 55'' LG C2 instead.

Won't be buying Samsung TVs again after the mess they made of this firmware update and the lack of recognition or care, after they botched it

You did well. This is the first time I bought a Samsung TV but if they keep ignoring customers, I won't buy Samsung again.

PS: What I don't understand is that we're in a Samsung discussion forum, but I don't see any Samsung employees intervening or communicating.

65" 2019 The Frame (QE65LS03R) here.

1409 FW didn't fix the issue for me - tv goes mute at random while switching hdmi inputs and only way to recover is to force restart it. It was supposed to be a beta release months ago and no final version till this day.

I guess that with Samsung's 3 year update policy we'll be stuck with this dud of an update until the next time we purchase a new TV set and I definitely won't even consider buying another Samsung Smart TV.

Still no updates, and now my TV doesn't do the "soft reset" anymore. Nothing happens when holding the power button except power off. I so much regret cheaping out and buying a samsung. Never again.

Same here. The soft reset is hit and miss. I need to pull the plug every time the audio issue manifests itself.
