If you’re anything like us on the Community team, when you’re out and about, you’ve always got your Galaxy Buds in. Their hours of battery life mean they’re the perfect way to enjoy music and podcasts when you’re out running, on the train, doing the weekly shop... And thanks to their Active Noise Cancelling, they can help you block out the guy yelling into his phone at 8am on your commute.
When you’re on a crowded train, the last thing you want is to have to try and fish your phone out of your pocket to skip a track or answer a call. And you definitely don’t want to try doing this when you’re out for a run (take it from us…). Fortunately, with your Galaxy Buds2 and Buds Pro, all you have to do is tap them to answer calls, skip tracks, and much more.
The setup process is slightly different for Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds2.
How to set up touch controls on Galaxy Buds2
- Once your Buds are connected to your phone, open the Wearable app.
- Tap Touch controls, then tap to switch On.
- Activate all the features.
- Tap Touch and hold. You can then choose a command for each earbud.
How to set up touch controls on Galaxy Buds Pro
- Once your Galaxy Buds Pro are connected to your phone, open the Wearable app.
- Tap to deactivate Block touches.
- Tap Touch and hold. Here you can choose a command for each earbud.
Touch actions
When you’ve set them up, these are the things you can control with Touch controls:
Tap:
- Pause or play a track
- Stop using text-to-speech
Double tap:
- Play the next track
- Answer or end a call
Triple tap:
- Play the previous track
Touch and hold
- Carry out the command that you’ve chosen for each earbud
- Decline a call
