Wi-Fi randomly disconnects on Galaxy Tab A9+ in Smart Home setup (Fully Kiosk, multi-AP, tried everything)

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with multiple Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ devices that I'm using as Smart Home control panels—one per floor in my house.

🔧 Setup Overview:

  • Each floor has its own Wi-Fi access point, using 2.4 GHz only

  • Different Wi-Fi channels per floor to avoid overlap

  • Static positioning: each tablet is fixed on the wall in kiosk mode using Fully Kiosk Browser

  • Internet access is allowed (even though it’s normally blocked in my setup)

  • Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable when connected

  • I have already blocked the MAC addresses of other access points to force the tablet to stay on the correct AP

The Problem:

  • The tablets randomly disconnect from Wi-Fi after a while

  • Once disconnected, they do not auto-reconnect

  • I need to manually toggle Wi-Fi off and on again, then they reconnect instantly

  • This happens even though “Keep Wi-Fi on” is enabled in Fully Kiosk settings

Already Tried:

  • Full factory reset

  • Network settings reset

  • Checked AP settings (bandwidth, channels, DHCP, DNS)

  • Enabled all options in Fully Kiosk to keep Wi-Fi alive

  • Verified no power-saving settings are interfering

  • MAC randomization is disabled

  • Tried both static IP and DHCP

Once the tablet is connected, everything works perfectly for hours—but then the connection drops, and it doesn’t reconnect until I manually intervene. Since this happens on all tablets (on different floors and APs), I suspect it’s something with the tablet or Android 13/One UI behavior.

Has anyone else seen similar behavior with the Tab A9+ or Fully Kiosk? Any way to force auto-reconnect or at least detect + recover from dropped Wi-Fi without user interaction?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and Welcome.

You seem more knowledgeable then us 😊

This is a customer to customer forum so answers are limited to individual experiences.

Also you seem to have tried most of the solutions.

Next time it happens I would suggest to send Feedback via the Samsung Members Support Tab foe the Devs to have a look at.
