I bought a Samsung S8+ a couple of years ago. I recently reset it to give to my son. However, when I select the language, the next screen shows something called Knox Deployment with a bunch of connection options and no way to bypass it. How can I continue to set up the tablet?

You need to have Knox installed or phone won't work properly. Knox is the security feature on all Samsung devices.

It's a tablet, and I've never seen or heard of this. I just want to set up the tablet but can't bypass this screen.

You can't bye pass it as it's part of the security features and settings.

Okay. Any idea why this has just happened after using it for so long? I don't even understand what it is.

'A bunch of connection options'.

Can you clarify ? Can you connect with one of these options to complete the installation ?

A quick google AI answer suggests it is an enterprise installation meaning the device may have been a corporate or bulk device. Where did you get it from... was it purchased new from Samsung as a personal purchase... or perhaps it was a corporate issued tablet that may have had some generic licences installed ?

Or perhaps it was a refurb unit purchased from Ebay or a reseller ? aAbGIuJyUA.jpg

Usually that would mean the device was used by a company and can only be used with the company. After a reset it has to be setup with the company again.

If you bought it brand new yourself, reset it and it was fine, then waited a few years, reset it again and now it's happening, that's strange.

I have a feeling whoever sold it to you originally had it part of a company deployment

It was purchased brand new from the Samsung website and worked without this issue for two years.

It was straight from the Samsung website. I've been chatting to support but they aren't hopeful. 😕
