Update to android 11 and latest 11R

1. APPS list, select app, select Storage, CHANGE from internal to SD card, select MOVE. Display goes back to SETTINGS instead of back to APPS list.

2. APPS disappear randomly from within folders, folders can also disappear. Cannot find anything which appears to act as a trigger, although app update may be involved. Does same even when Home Screen lock is on.

3. App previously moved to SD card will reappear on internal storage after app update. Very rarely will the update be applied to the sd card version. 

4. APPS occasionally kick you out, for no apparent reason, when using them and whole device appears to reboot android operating system forcing you to wait for apps to redisplay on home screen. Can happen several times per session.

I think sd cards are best to store music and photos. Apps are better being stored on system memory.

You can expect those issues if you use external storage for apps. They were not coded that way so apps will always apply an update to internal storage.

Always used to update to sd card if the app was loaded on sd. Only since android 11 has this been a problem.
If it was never designed to put apps on sd cards then why is there the facility to move an installed app to an sd card?
Any app written should not care where it is installed ... the app is designed to WORK!

Ok I get it that you don't approve of sd cards for app storage . BUT what about the biggest bugbear of app disappearing from folders or whole folders disappearing. It is not always an sd card based app that "removes" itself from a folder.
