Anyone else have an issue with a Tab S7+ screen stopping working and then Samsung wanting to charge £280 for a new screen?
S7+, less than 6 months old. Been in a case since day 1. Opened the case one day and the screen was mainly black, with a few green lines across it. Didn't see any cracks. Sent it to Samsung for repair, and then got a quote for £279 to repair the screen. Argued with Samsung that the screen was not damaged, had always been in a case, and had never once been dropped. Said they would open up a case for it being "damaged in transit" and that i would hear back from someone in a couple of weeks. Still waiting. The tablet is in absolutely mint condition and has clearly been treated well.
There is clearly a design fault with this tablet. Even if i had dropped it, and cracked the screen, the screen should still have worked like any other phone would still work. I have samsung phones, earbuds, but will never buy Samsung again if this is not resolved to my satisfaction. At least if i drop an ipad and the screen cracks I'll still be able to use it.
Loads o posts on Reddit saying exactly the same. Tablet in case from day 1 and cracking when in mint condition and never dropped

It is under warranty, but the repairers that Samsung use are saying that I have cracked the glass, even though I know I haven't.
