Samsung Tab S8

So I recently got my hands on a Samsung Tab S8 that I need to flash with Samsung Odin. I've tried everything, but just cannot put it into recovery mode.

can someone help me?

You'll be better of asking this on xdadevelopers. As this is a community support page that doesn't help with flashing your device as it voids your tablet warranty.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Forgive me for saying this, but if you're not knowledgeable enough to get into the recovery mode, I would certainly not recommend trying to change software via Odin. This is not recommended on here as @MNas04 has explained, you risk voiding any warranty and bricking the device (which Samsung would charge a lot of money to fix).

Thanks for the answer. I've done this with many Samsung phones and have a basic understanding of what I am doing. I just ran into a small problem not being able to put it into recovery mode. 
The tablet is in Retail mode and therefore no warranty:)

just wanted to get some help getting it into recovery mode, as googling it didn’t help
