I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E SM-T5660 8GB Wi-Fi. I have recently replaced the battery however I am still having the same problem. Which is, if I don't use the tablet for a few days (even though the battery is fully charged when I switch it off) when I come to switch the device on (after a few days) the battery is on zero and takes at least 2 hours to fully charge. For the battery to remain fully charged when not it use it has to be constantly connected to the charger.

Hi again, if it's possible don't install any application on your SD card even if it's possible. Keep your SD card to register files from your browser, your camera, your photos and everything you download and we.ll see what will happened...Sorry for my english.
If you install applications on your SD card, it could be why your battery is drained that fast (hope it maake sense in english)
When you take screenshot of the battery , result before 1 hour are not good, you need to work normally for more than an hour to have representative result...

Hi
OK so I have inserted a new SD card which is 64gb. My tablet only has a 8gb of storage and half of this is taken up with "system memory" this is why i have an SD card. origionally I had moved all the games onto the SD card to save space on the actual device. I also used the SD card for downloading films from Amazon Prime for when we go on holiday. I would have at least 20 movies downloaded to the SD card for holiday viewing. However I have removed all games from the SD card and currently have 3 movies downloaded to the SD card and when I switch off the device and switch on for example 12 hours later the battery is still full. So it seems the problem is with the games which I moved to the SD card. Why would games drain the battery when the device is switched off and disconnected from the power source?

No idea, i had a similar problem with a application called « ES file Explorer », it was litteraly draining my battery wihout any sign from Samsung Maintenance or Virus Scan. You can read about it. I discover then somebody was downloading everything that was in my tablet even when tablet was on stand-by mode but i never ear or read nothing like your case when device is closed .
Free games are often made by hackers, Google, Microsoft and Apple don't protect us enought about this...Also, if you downloaded movies free from a streamer website, don't be surprised if they install virus, worm and garbage like that..Anyway go read this article and sorry for my english..i know it's so bad...

OK so my new SD card was empty. I downloaded 3 movies from Amazon Prime (which I have a subscription to) I switched of the the tablet and dissconnected from mains. 24 hours later when I tried to switch on device the battery was on zero.
Without SD card installed the battery is fine when switched off and and switched on again 24 hours later.
This device was fine 2 months ago no problems. I think I am going to just bin it and buy an ipad!

I just suscribed 4 hours ago to Amazon Prime...How do you like it, except the amount each month for Prime, do we need to pay for something else when we download a lot of movies ??
And for the Ipad, personnaly, i bought a Galaxy Tab S4, it's more versatile... I am not a fan of the Tab S5e but i know the next tablet of Samsung is coming...This will be the Galaxy Tab S6...
How much you want to spend on your future tablet ?
