Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Cable TV packages

I am new to this group and have a quick question about Samsung Services. My father is sending me a Galaxy Tab2 10.1
do I need to subscribe to a Samsung Service in order to watch TV on it or generally use the Apps?

Hey @Galaxytabactive 

 

You will need a Google Account in order to use the Play Store to download apps, once you have this you can use any compatible apps at your own leisure. 

 

You'd only need subscriptions for apps that require them, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
