S9 ultra full screen apps

Is there a way to force ITV X and other telly apps to be full screen on my s9 ultra? I am finding that the letterboxing is not doing the screen any good. After a telly session it's leaving screen retention where the letter boxing is. It's going away straight away however I worry that over time it will lead to damage. Does good lock have an option to force full screen mode? Thanks

@AshtabS9Ultra : Other than heading to Settings > Display > Full screen apps, and exploring your options, there aren't any native features that can remove the letterbox format from streaming apps like ITVX. Maybe check the in-app settings to see if the aspect ratio can be altered from here.
