S7 plus uk keyboard question

Hi, 

 I can't for the life of me figure out how to use keys with more than 2 symbols on, for example the Euro symbol and the hashtag. What key combinations are required for this? I've looked at the official manual online and that doesn't say either.

To access the 3rd option, hold Alt Gr next to the language key to the right side.

I have something to add in the same line of the original question: I can only get é (acute) accents, not grave or umlaut. Also no N- or M-dashes, only underscores and hyphen-minus (which isn't a hyphen, important for writing the manuscript of my book.
Any help finding the other characters would be appreciated
