S7+ External monitor support in Dex mode broken in Android 12 update

I have been been using Dex with a wired monitor on my s7+ for some time now, but as soon as I installed the Android 12 update my tablet will only do screen mirroring in Dex mode.

Any solutions to this..?

I find Dex wired is a nightmare, well was until i swapped to a Spigen cable, since then no issues with either my 32" or 43" Samsung M70A monitors

Just found a solution to this.... I went into Settings>Samsung Dex then I turned on "Auto start when HDMI is connected", I suddenly get a message that screen mirroring is being disabled, then hay presto.. I now have Dex working correctly again... how odd..

Thanks for this, it fixed it for me on my Tab S7+. However, most of the options in the menu that appear once you're running DeX are grayed out when plugged into a monitor, and more importantly, that option isn't available on phones (at least my S21 Ultra) so this does not fix it on my phone.

Hi, did you ever find a fix to this?

I have a note 10+ and a s7+ tablet and when i try connecting the tablet to my monitor it does not work. The phone on the other hand works perfectly fine! On both these Occasions i used the same adaptor (original apple usb c to hdmi adaptor).
