Can I/how can I use a "normal" type 2 USB memory stick with this tablet, to open docs/spreadsheets? Is it simply a matter of using a converter plug, or is it more involved than that?

Yes, as your tablet suports OTG.

Samsung S6 Lite user here. I have a tech support group telling me that my tablet does not support OTG. Which is it?
