I have a tablet. I don't use it very often, but when i turned it on i come across the issue of my encrypted tablet. I cannot remember my password and i am worried of losing files. they have pictures that i cannot replace and memories that cannot be repeated. i don't want to lose them. is there a way i can regain my password without losing everything?

Hi @Breelyn202 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

The Security Protocols are in place for a very good reason to protect the tablet and it's contents and so are not meant to be circumvented.

If you forgot your Samsung tablet password, you can try these steps:
  • Reset your Samsung account password
Open the Samsung account app, tap Forgot password?, and then enter your ID or email address. You can then reset your password by following the on-screen instructions.

  • Use the Find My Device website
Go to the Find My Device website, sign in with your Google account, and then select your device. You can then erase your device and set it up again.

  • Use a previous screen lock method
If your device has One UI 6.1 or later, you can use a previous screen lock method to unlock your device. This feature is only available once per screen lock type, and the previous screen lock data is only stored for 72 hours.

  • Contact Samsung support
If you're still having trouble, you can contact Samsung support.
