Quarterly updates?

I have a new Tab A7 and Samsung recently stated it will get quarterly security updates for 2 years and 4 years of updates in total. It is however still running a December 2020 update. So presumably March/April will be the next one.

It has been checking for ROM updates and found none. I have also tried via Samsung Switch on my W10 PC. A separate February Google security update has been applied though through Google Play Security settings but I had to do that myself. It is not part of the automated check for some reason.

It didn't help that I read mistaken information on Softpedia. Bogdan failed to read the schedule the press release links to in the footnotes and reported all devices listed would get monthly updates when they won't. I've left a comment on his article.
