Hallo, my name is Steve, i m a Windows Admin for a big company and also help a little bit in the company where my wife works - care / residential groups for children. Just for background.

A 7y old girl got a Samsung Tablet from her father, the father disapeared abroad, i got the tablet to reset it. I made the hardware factory reset, but now i m stuck with the Google Factory Reset Protection. No chance to get any former google accounts. Is there a way to fix it or did i brick the tablet ?

kr

Steve

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

There isn't a way to bypass that lock without access to the account. If you could, it would defeat the whole purpose of said lock (being made for theft protection so devices can't be stolen, then reset and sold).

You could try reaching out to customer support, but they are also limited.

Not much you can do if it's had the Google factory Reset Protection kick in. You can only reach out to Google or customer support but it's likely it bricked.

To avoid the frp after factory reset you need to sign out of the Google account before resetting. If you didn't know the password then your pretty much stuck.
