Just set up my new Samsung galaxy tab s8 ultra. Transferred all data and apps via Bluetooth, then got a message saying device has been locked by Samsung. What do I need to do to resolve this issue?

Where did you purchase the device?

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.

If you purchased the device from a third party retailer and its a used one.
Think I'd be looking at returning it.
If you purchased new, then try contacting the Samsung Customer Support to see if they can help.

Contacted Samsung customer support, told me to take back to Argos.
