Gmail App on S6 no updates

The Gmail app on my Tab S6 hasn't been updated since June last year, no updates seem available. Updates for my S20 are frequent and regular.

On another forum a user raised the same issue for the S6 to which Google replied saying it was the manufacturer that determines update releases.

So what's up Samsung?

It's nonsense that Samsung determines up dates. They come from Play Store which is Google.
