Galaxy tab unit variation

I recently bought two Galaxy tab a9+ tablets.

Both update to the latest oneui7 on mays security update.

While setting both up together side by side, ive noticed a strange difference in what can only think is resolution.

Check out the photo's ive taken and look closely at the default positioning of the the app size slider bar

Also in the other photos you will see how the bottom row of default home apps are spaced out differently on one tab and closer together on the other.

Ive compared both tablets settings...

Font size - same Screen zoom - same

No visual enhancements on.

Really confused and wondering if anyone could shed some light on this ?

Oh ok, there will be resolution options in developer options at the very least if you want to tinker with it that much

Go to settings- About- Software information- Service provider software version= what does it say?

I checked and both tablets are exactly the same service provider software version.

Everything else in software is identical.

I think i found the culprit to my issue.

Using the app...device info

Under display, font scale differs on both.

Tab 1 = font scale 1.1

Tab 2 = font scale 1.15

I also manage to fix the issue.

I went to settings - font size and styles.

Moved both sliders to the left and back again.

Now both are showing scale 1.15.

So set them both one to the left and now both are showing font scale as 1.0 👌

Must have been a hang up on font scale after the updates.
