Galaxy Tab S9 Fe Spen problem

My S9 fe tablet is two weeks old and I have been trying to get the Spen to pair with the tablet.

 In the tablet Settings, Advanced Features, Spen, Air Actions it states "NO SPENS PAIRED" Scan for Spen pro. 

Clicking on the three dots upper right corner of the screen produces the same result Scan for Spen pro. That's it. No other options are available. 

In the Settings, Spen menu it shows a Spen as ready. The pen works for basic operations but all other advanced functions are not available. The tablet doesn't recognise whether the pen is docked or detached. There is no information on battery status, charging, or anything else for that matter. I think the problem may be a faulty battery in the Spen not accepting a charge.

The tablet works perfectly in all other aspects. Has anybody had the same problem or any ideas what else I can try to get the pen to work?

The tab s9 fe s pen doesn't support air actions. Most likely that's the reason the s pen doesn't show a charge status. Think the back is just magnets to store the pen, no wireless charge compatability. You may need the s pen pro to use the Bluetooth air action features.

This is correct, the FE S-pen only supports basic functions and is not Bluetooth, so there are no air commands

Air actions are not available for your model. What makes you think they are? Also, the pen doesn't require charging, so no battery. What makes you think its got a battery? Did your tablet not come with instructions? I suggest you read them to familiarise yourself with your purchase.

The instructions are only available by scanning the QR code to access them online. There is nothing in them that says the tablet Spen is not compatible There is instructions on how to set it up etc. Maybe I'm missing something.?
Do you know if the Spen Pro
will work? Anyway thanks for your reply

That's okay, at least you have access to them. The reason there's no information in the manual, is because the Air actions feature doesn't exist on the FE variant. If it did, then there would be instructions on how to use it. So, don't worry, you're not missing something.
Unfortunately, I can't say if the SPen Pro is compatible.

The FE does have the air function however it is only with the s pen pro an additional cost.

Yes, the S9 FE has a pen that comes with it however, the pen will not preform the air actions. You will have to purchase a s pen pro in order to use that function.  The pen is around 60 give it take o got mine off of ebay. But it works great and you'll need to get a pen holder because the pro pen is a bit lager and doesn't stick to the tablet.  Other than the pen issue i love my tablet.
