I'm ready to turn my beloved Tab A into a coaster OR throw it against a wall.

HELP!!!

While searching for suggestions I found this post from 2020 and as recent as 2024.

I have three Tab A tablets all with the same problem, all developed it at the same time.

If you turn the tablet on it gets to the point of showing "SAMSUNG" and then goes to a screen with two turning cogs and "Android is starting... Optimising app 44 of 46"

It will stay on that screen until it has "optimised" 46 of 46, and then it reboots and goes through the same cycle again and again, never getting any further.

I have tried rebooting:

- with power button and volume up pressed and held

- with power button and volume down pressed and held

- You can't actually turn the tablet off, so the above has been done once the battery has gone flat

- I have done the above with partially charged battery and 100% battery.

- I have pretty much tried every combination of button press, including using the Home button.

The only thing that makes any difference to the aforementioned loop is by pressing power + down volume + home button. This will put it into a mode that wants to download another version of the operating system. If I confirm this, it simply says "dowloading" until the battery goes flat.

I would be very grateful for any help - I use these for my business, and with everything else going on in the world, I can't afford to replace 3 tablets!!

This is my EXACT issue!

No one has replied, or offered up help. I see there a few others with the same issue.

Can someone please offer up a solution? It's such a nice tablet (or it was).

I did while pressing everything over and over again in many combinations  found myself in some program for repair and of course, selected the wrong setting and then powered up into the loop AGAIN!!!!!!!

I dream of getting back there before the tablet burns out till the battery drains from full and trying to clear the cache to see if that could help.....seriously Samsung!!!

Is there no one in support to address the problem?

It's not going to get me to buy another Samsung tablet, I can tell you that with such crappy support.

Thank you,
