Galaxy Tab 5e. Cannot unlock.

The screen stays black when I press the power button, apart from the sidebar which is at the side and opens when pressed and shows the icons. When the orientation is changed, the screen briefly flashes. The sidebar works in each of the four orientations.

No device info shows at the top of the screen even when plugged in.

I can see the device when plugged into my laptop.

I can get to the Turn Off/Reboot icons, by holding the power button when the sidebar is showing, but nothing happens.

It is a SM-T720. Just went on the device location website, and rang it, and when it did the whole screen lit up, so the issue isn't the screen.

Just realised that all the information I've seen to turn off/restart says to press and hold the power button and volume up. Out of curiosity, I tried the vol down button and success, restarted and now functioning normally.
