Good evening all,

I have my Tab A8 and my A71 phone. On connections - WiFi it says my Galaxy A71 is an auto hotspot. What does this mean? Can I get rid of it? Can people see it? Can people access it?

Hi,

Automatic Hotspot allows your phone's internet connection to be shared with devices that are signed in to your Samsung account, or your Samsung family group. From Settings, tap Connections, and then tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.

To remove it
Go Settings Connections
Mobile hotspot and tethering

But what does it actually do? Does it help with connection? Can people from the outside access it? Is it safe to use?
