a question about the soft buttons (recents button, home button, back button) See attached image Sometimes these buttons are no longer clearly visible on an open page with a light background. is there a way to change this background to something dark?

If you would use Google Chrome for internet you can make it dark.

You can also enable darkmode on the tablet itself, from settings > display > dark.

You can force apps to use darkmode through developer settings. But that setting turns off when you reboot or turn the device on. Maybe install a dark theme?

I just thought that it would also be possible to change the soft button background directly from settings without developer options for the Chrome browser or for apps, for example making the background for the three buttons dark gray or black but from your answer I understand that this is not possible.

There is an app that can make the softbuttons a little brighter, a third party app tho. There are also apps that change the color of those buttons. Look in the Playstore

Samsung app Good Lock is in Samsung Galaxy Store works for samsung galaxy phones but not for tablets from samsung i need than NavStar but is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9
