Does anyone have a work around to make the videos brighter when using amazon prime video? Nearly impossible to watch any dark scenes.

Adaptive brightness and power saving modes already switched off.

Have you figured out how to fix this? I'm having the same issues - it's really annoying!!

No idea, think the problem might be with the amazon app not being able to recognise the screen limitations like netflix one does. Anoying that the s8 tab doesnt have a UHD display, I stupidly assumed it would have when I bought one.

I just spoke to the Samsung Support team and they want me to save all data on a pc and reinitialise the tablet because it could be a bug... I just installed it fresh a I just bought it so I doubt about the bug only for prime video when all the other videos work fine, and I don't want to spend such time on a brand new product that was totally updated. Anyone did the reset and got it working? Thx

Surprised this threads still active hahs. Not done it, but going to say thats nonsense and it wont work. It's literally just the prime app. It can only be a compatibility issue with the tablet and either amazon or Samsung need to sort it. I just use a different app stream amazon stuff on the tablet. One that I wont mention incase it gets shut down haha

Also happening on a galaxy tab s8 in prime video and plex. Any hdr content is very dark. For instance Reacher on prime video is nearly pitch black in the dark scenes. Looks perfect on a LG oled tv though. I suspect HDR tone mapping is broken.
