Transparent Navigation Bar

As I know on the beta there have been improved Gestures for navigating back and forward ect. 

I've tried to get used to the swiping actions but can't get my head around it and ultimately end up switching back to the navigation buttons therefore losing some of my screen.

I think it would be a great idea if this bar down the bottom could be made transparent to your liking like you can with some widgets or even have the choice to make them floating and you can place them anywhere on the screen so you get your screen extended to the bottom but still have these buttons to navigate.

Doesn't seem such a hard thing to introduce does it?

This does seem interesting, especailly with the examples you have given.
