Alarm Screen in Landscape Mode

There are a few inconsistencies when your phone is horizontal, on of them is the Alarm screen.  It niggles me when my phone is horizontal in my car and the alarm will go off but it's stuck in portrait.

It's no great hindrance but it does let the flow of the system down.  Can this be addressed at all?

Sure thing! I can understand that it might be slighlty annoying 

From what I have been told by the development team, the device does not check if it is in portrait or landscape when it is locked. That decreases battery consumption considerably.

That is why you have to select if you want AOD in portrait or landscape.

Hmmmm I appreciate that, but you can set auto rotate for calls (locked) so surely the option to add alarms is possible.   I know it's probably not as straight forward as that though..lol
