As a Samsung user, and I'm sure many would agree, there are two major issues in the Galaxy ecosystem that could be improved in the One UI 7 beta:
Duplicate Apps
Why do we have two messaging apps and two different photo backup solutions in Europe?
Instead of relying on Google Photos and OneDrive for cloud storage, why not bring back Samsung Cloud, similar to what Apple does with iCloud? If necessary, we would be willing to pay for storage, but at least we wouldn't have to deal with photos disappearing or syncing between two separate apps.
So, my suggestion: stop using OneDrive and Google Photos as default options and create a Samsung-owned cloud solution.
Improvements to Samsung Messages
At least in Europe (or ideally worldwide), why not replace Google Messages as the default app? Or at least bring RCS reactions and message encryption with RCS to Samsung Messages.
Stop being dependent on Google/Microsoft for these features; with this, you lose more than you gain. "Partnerships" only bring more confusion to users, especially those coming from iPhone who are used to having everything native from Apple. Samsung just needs to do the same, and as an advantage, they would directly earn money from users where clearly storage would be paid via the Galaxy Store. So simply stop killing native solutions and make all functions native without relying on other companies, at least for cloud/messages, etc.
This would make the Galaxy experience much smoother and make the Samsung ecosystem feel truly unified.

Hello @luisbaker___,
Thanks for sharing your feedback! If anybody else would like to see this changed - please let us know in the comments. If it gathers a lot of support, I will pass this suggestion to the relevant team

I love reactions in Google Messages. 😁
Google Photos is much better than Samsung Cloud.
I really don't mind duplicate apps, everyone can decide what they want to use and that's good.

You can use Google Messages, it doesn't affect you, but it ruins the experience of the Samsung app voluntarily on Samsung's part. This shouldn't have been done, just like with Google Photos. If you want, you can use it or not, but it shouldn't be native. We buy Samsung products to have the Samsung ecosystem and Samsung apps. If it weren't for that, we could have bought a Pixel or another phone.

i second this. Samsung Messages with RCS support is very important to me.

Currently, it supports the majority of carriers worldwide, but it lacks the feature for reactions in messages, and also the support for message encryption. Samsung didn't add the support because of Google, which is why their app became the default... Having a Samsung or a Xiaomi or any other phone is starting to be the same since all the native apps like Messages/Photos/Cloud should be from Samsung and not replaced by Google's or Microsoft's. If that's the case, why buy a Samsung?

YES, we need this, especially the samsung cloud bit, im fed up of google photos, and also i very much dislike onedrive as its sooo heavy on resources

Yes, affected me 4 years ago. Samsung forced me to switch on Google Messages, because Samsung RCS started crashed all the timeOnly Samsung apps I want to delete is Samsung Messages, but I can't, and funny is that Samsung Messages is still active in background even disabled.
Samsung Cloud? Samsung is also unable to sync this with the Google Play Store. After every Samsung Cloud update, the Google Play Store says that Samsung Cloud for Wearable has been upgraded and it's not compatible with my device
Google Photos you must download, it's not pre-installed on Samsung.

Will surely love to see Samsung apps instead of Google apps. Samsung apps are made for one ui afterall. At setup or after setup there should be option to delete apps (like currently there is option to delete samsung messages) which have a duplicate simply. I had to use adb to delete photos gmail g-messages and meet. Would even love if samsung brings their own maps application lol.
