For too long, education has been stuck in a one-size-fits-all mentality. But there are many opportunities for change provided by technology. Over the course of the last year and the adaptations we have had to make as a result of COVID-19, we have witnessed a shift in mind-set that resulted in the development and adoption of some transformative learning solutions. There has never been a more exciting time to help shape the future of education.
For Samsung, a future where learning is a lifestyle is a future full of educational opportunities that don’t just increase thematic knowledge but introduce essential skills and the opportunities to apply these in the real working world. Crucially, it’s also a future where learning never stops. We recognise the power of alternative modes of learning and the need to design both tailored and inclusive educational experiences that accommodate multiple learning styles.
Education is 1 of the 4 themes within the Solve for Tomorrow programme. We brought together inspiriting experts in the field, pioneering change; Steven Bartlett (Founder of Social Chain, author, and investor), Ebinehita Iyere (Founder of Milk and Honey Bees), André Anderson (Headmaster of Freedom & Balance) and Jesse Hirsh (Futurist speaker and researcher).
Their experiences and passions within the field of education founded insightful discussions surrounding the importance of lifelong learning and how technology can help to create solutions that make Education more accessible for everyone. Ebinehita said:
“Technology is a vehicle for change, and the drivers are young people”
