Do you lot take pictures/ videos of the older phone before you send it off to Samsung. Like showing the condition, showing that it's working etc etc. Is it worth doing it or do you just send it off?

And if you do. What is the best way to do this.

This is in the context of proof of the item before send off. If that makes sense

Definitely take photos.
With the screen on as well
I get photos to show the condition and any scratches as well
I use time and date stamped photos as well

I've been on the (now defunct) upgrade for several years. I've never taken photos, just returned the phone. Never had a problem. Then again, it wouldn't hurt to take photos!

No, I don't.

I take videos. 🤗

It is highly recommended, especially for higher value devices so there is no dispute later. That said, so far I've not had an issue when trading in with Samsung for new devices (touch wood).

Use the new phone to take pictures and videos of the old one

I also video opening the box, as I have heard nightmare stories of getting empty boxes, so proof is everything

Yeah I do.... And the package... and even handing it over to the courier! There's no way I'm getting stung with a £1000 bill for not sending back the phones

Yes @Haytch

I take tome and dated water marked pictures

  • One of it turned On.
  • All round for aesthetic condition purposes.
  • One inside the sim tray usually where the water indicator is.
  • One of the screen.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

My routine is to take pictures & video footage of my returning device & for extra measure, I send it via special delivery with tracking, I then email Samsung customer service (returns) with the tracking number.
(Never fails)
