First buying experience - apple wins

So a week before the S24 is released there’s an offer (in the uk) to register your interest and then on release day you get a voucher/code to get £50 off your purchase, voucher/code never arrived, rang Samsung 1 hour 12 minutes of waiting to be answered who then tell me they can’t give me the money I can have a code to use in the Samsung shop so they send me a code and the code is invalid, I’m now back on the phone waiting so far for 34 minutes for someone to answer, on the 24th I can apply for a free galaxy 6 smart watch and to be honest I’m dreading it I’m not sure I can manually cope constantly chasing for things that have been promised that don’t materialise, this is my first shopping experience with Samsung and it’s probably going to be my last maybe I’ll just buy through Argos in future but I definitely won’t buy through Samsung. Never had any problems buying though apple shop.

Many users reported that the email arrived on their junk folder?

Samsung Moderators have also advised that emails were sent in batches (in reality millions likely pre registered so a lot to get through) and some members have advised they received their email with code in the last couple of days

This is @AndrewL answer on another post.
They are still being sent out, but I don't remember seeing it say anything about being sent out on release day when I registered 1705773036726.jpg

I always buy though O2 no hassle with them, sometimes have better promotions on as well.

I feel for you jwoody1...not a good experience. And part of loyalty to a brand is how you're treated.

So after about hour + waiting to connect to an agent at Samsung they have (as a good will gesture) given me a £50 to spend in the shop which I’ve used to buy a case and screen protector so in the end Samsung came up good, fingers crossed claiming the free watch goes more smoothly. Just looking forward to receiving the s24 ultra now and picking everyone’s brains in here as it’s been a while since I’ve used a Samsung phone but can’t wait to get back into the Samsung experience

My experience of claiming for promotions have been good to be fair. Although for this particular promotion, I put the code in and it should be coming together with the phone.

What happened for me was I registered my interest before the launch and as soon as I completed the form I was sent a text message which basically said “thank you for your interest in our new product a money off code will be sent closer to launch” alls good now though as I have the voucher I just need to hope claiming the watch goes more smoothly
