This has started appearing in the Web version of the community. Ho
How is this different from liking a post or a reply?

Yes I have noticed it, I suppose focusing on the thread and thinking behind it that it offers additional value.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Thanks James. If it is used somewhere, say to order search results based on number of people who found a post or a reply helpful or if the posts are made visible/highlighted in some way, then that would be useful.

Think that is the key, maybe will find out more details in due course.

Interesting. 🤨 I'm guessing it's like JAMES4578 said. 🤔 But I've asked the Admin for more info about it in any case, and will let you know what I find out.

A little more info:
So, JAMES4578 is right: it offers additional value. A ‘like’ of a post might not always be interpreted as it being useful in solving a query/issue – it might be someone expressing solidarity/support with that post or user, for example. The ‘Was this topic/reply helpful?’ feature is more explicit about the solving/usefulness angle, and so makes it a bit easier for everyone to identify possible solutions to queries and issues. (And without losing the value of the ‘like’ feature.)
It’s currently in its very early stages of implementation, and there are plans to hopefully do more with it in the future.
