This looks super cool. Imagine leaving the remote just next to your window so that it can charge while you go to work or shopping (although it may take some time to charge properly). I have a solar battery pack and I do this all the time (it charges much more quickly in summer though, understandably).
Yes certainly an idea of its time, though some challenges in winter. Certainly an interesting development though.
