Samsung WB10 Compact Camera - help in setting up please!

Have just bought a new WB10 and although I am elderly and do not understand everything, I read all the manual and managed to set everything up except...........

Although a red light comes up when battery needs charging I can not find (unlike my previous camera) where there is a battery icon on the home page or anywhere which will show all the time the battery percentage left.

Can anyone help me?

@Moggie: The battery indicator should be visible in the top right corner of the LCD monitor. It won't show you a remaining battery percentage, however the battery status will be indicated via bars in the battery symbol itself. 3 bars means a full charge, and the bars will disappear as the battery level gets lower (from 2, to 1, to 0). I hope this helps.
