Samsung TV QE65Q64 - IR sensor goes bananas

I've had this TV for a year now, new from year 2020.
Today I see when coming home that TV is going randomly into menus when I get close to it.
I've taken out the batteries from the remote, and still it is doing this. when I get about a yard away from the TV og changes sources or goes into any random menu.
It also does the same when I approach the IR sensor with my hand.
Curtains are closed, so it is not from any remote from a neigbour.
I've tried factory resetting the TV, no improvement.
Anyone seen anything similar?

Hello, I found the issue. I had a very old Samsung remote laying in a drawer for a TV that I have long time ago disposed of that was being randomly being pushed buttons on. We had a good laugh finding that out after 2 hours of troubleshooting
