Hi, my Garmin Forerunner has been working perfectly with my Galaxy A12 until I completed the latest phone software update last week - since then it hasn't remained paired for more than a few hours.

Has anyone else seen this since the last software update?

Thanks

I'm not using an A12, I'm on A53 5G,  but I'm having the same issue with my Venu 3s, and I've seen it reported by other Android users, so clearly it's an ever frequently ocurring issue.

I've not had any luck with any of the suggestions provided yet, which are removing device, repairing, resetting Connection settings, pairing in developer mode etc. The device will pair, but constantly disconnects so live data isn't availble in the app, and will also completely remove the device from the Connect app so I have to go throught the repairing process multiple times a day.

Tried it on my old Huawei Honor 10 (6 years old), no such issues, so clearly a Samsung issue as it was fine about 2 weeks ago, but now completely broken.

Thanks, mine was fine up until the last phone software update so I think it might be related. Just a bit frustrating having to keep reconnecting

I posted this elsewhere as I found a partial fix.

I followed these steps yesterday about 6pm and so far I woke up and didn't have to completely repair my watch to my phone. This is the longest it's stayed paired in 12 days, but it does still display as 'Not Connected' in the app every now and again which is still frustrating because it used to stay connected all the time Bluetooth was on, but not having the re-pair everyday is a godsend.

It's a bit long, but quite simple.

1. Unpair your watch from Connect and close the app. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Connect. Force Stop the app, tap on Storage and Clear Cache.

2. Remove the watch from your Bluetooth devices list in Settings. This should be under Connections -> Bluetooth -> find your watch in the list, tap the settings for it and Unpair.

3. Turn your watch off and on again and then go to Settings -> Connections -> Phone -> Pair Phone, it will display the QR code, leave this on the screen.

4. On your phone, go to Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> tap Scan.

5. Your watch should appear on the unpaired list, tap it when it does. It'll display the Pin code on your watch and your phone, accept both.

6. Open the connect app and your device should show as paired already without having to go through the Connect App pairing process.

Hello, I have been having the exact same problem for the last month or so. It was working fine on my A12 prior to this and now the bluetooth just disconntects from the phone every 30min to an hour. The only fix I have found other then forgetting the connection and re-paring is to on the A12 clear the cache and data from blutooth then it connects but wont keep connected. really frustrating! I have dont all the troubleshooting advice from both Garmin and Samsung but the issue is still happening. Samsung A12 and Garmin 255.

Ive been having the same issue with my A12 and my vivoactive 5. Ive tried everything to keep it staying connected. It would stay connected for a few seconds to a few hours.
