Samsung LoungeRecently I decided to buy a S22 from Samsung. I arranged for the trade in of my wife's old S8 and placed the order.
I then decided that (i) I needed the phone sooner than it was available and (ii) the price was too much for me. So I cancelled the order for the S22 and quickly received a refund of the money paid. Excellent service so far.
I then tried to place a new order for the S20FE. However I soon ran into trouble when trying to get a trade in value for my wife's S8 - I am told that the IMEI number for the S8 has already been used.
I have tried the Samsung on-line chat and was referred to their UK phone help line
I tried the phone help and was told by the first adviser that the S8 IMEI number would be automatically released for further use after a day or two. Nothing happened.
I tried the phone help again and was told that the adviser would get the number released and send me an email when it was available.
Again nothing has happened.
Is there anyway I can contact the relevant department to ensure that the IMEI number is released?

Samsung LoungeAt the third attempt at contacting Samsung via the telephone I was put though to department who specialised in such matter and she was able to get the IMEI number cleared.
I am now awaiting delivery of my newly order phone with a £200 trade in.
