is there any chance for an update for waerable in apples app store?

Hi 

I LOVE Samsung Watch and just bought the Watch 7. i've had a samsung watch 1. gen for 4 years or so and that died suddenly so i bought the new model 7. My problem is that i have an iphone and the a watch app for samsung watches on iphone hasn't been updated for 2 years and apparently doesnt support anything newer than watch 3. i've seen many refenrences for an wearables app that should be in apples app store, but there isnt one as far i can tell.

 

Does anyone know, if there is a new app on the way for iphone users?

and before y'all trash me for having an iphone; i like the samsung watch better than apple watch and it should be possible to combine these products - it has been so before!!

Hi @Sparky_dk!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a Galaxy Watch 7 with an iPhone. The Galaxy Watch 3 was the last one that worked with the iPhone.

Watch 3 and down where based on tizen OS so that made it mostlikely why it worked with iPhone.

But newer watches are based on WearOS which is Google and is Android based. So that is mostlikely cause to why newer watches don't support iPhone due to them using WearOS and needs Android to work correctly.
