Samsung LoungeI am very happy to hear the news that Samsung, will work with IFixIt, to respect the right to repair, providing people with authentic genuine parts, tools and instructions about basic repairs of our phones.
Good decision Samsung!
I am very happy about it. You did very well. 🙂👍

Just a note:
I live in the EU, i care about what happens in EU and i mention EU regulations a lot, because everything that happens with EU and EU regulations affect me directly. Also many other forum members also live in the EU.

Samsung Lounge@JAMES4578 URL says https://eu.community.samsung.com - EU Community, basically covering whole Europe. it is not strictly UK, it does not says GB or UK to differentiate single region. if it was strictly UK or GB community it was going to be like https://gb.community.samsung.com or https://uk.community.samsung.com, but it is neither of them. It is EU, covering whole Europe.
This is why i am not writing in US Samsung community - https://us.community.samsung.com US differentiates it as US/Canada and it discusses their issues not European issues.

Samsung LoungeYes url does say European communities but this is the UK/Ireland section of it that you are posting in. There is a tab at bottom for moving between the various European communities. If you select English then it is Uk/Ireland and Moderators here can only give specialised support to members from these countries for instance. Each European community have their own Moderators/Management. However everyone is welcome to post wherever they like and it is primarily user to user forums.

Samsung LoungeJust to point out that the Self Repair service will likely to come to Europe at some point, I just thought it was best to provide a link for context.

Samsung Loungeyes. it has to start somewhere. following this line of thoughts, i believe EU will also want it as expansion. EU is giving apple hard time about the whole online privacy and tracking, usb type c port, Qualcom Quick charge, PPS, and PD charging standards, basically demanding apple to use usb type c, and the iphone and apple chargers to be compliant with these standards. basically EU whats to make sure that it makes no difference what charger, phone and cable will be used, all ot them must be working the same. Samsung also take a lot of heat for this but not as much as apple does, looks like chinese like oppo, one plus and xiaomi are riding this train long ago, they take the least heat, because they are ahead of the curve. following this logic of how EU makes its demands, i have reasonable expectation, that EU will extend its demands to right of repair too. lets see when this will happen.
